Hello in Spanish
In English you can say hello, howdy, hi, and probably other words to say hello. In Spanish most people say "hola" to say hello in Spanish. Some people will also say "qué tal" which actually means "how are things" or "how are you in Spanish". The best thing to do is to say "hola" and take notice of what others are saying around you.
